Welcome to Lakeview Academy! Early learning at Lakeview provides a warm and nurturing environment to help make your child’s learning experience in our K3, K4 and Kindergarten classes a positive one. Our Pre-K and Kindergarten's early learning programs are refreshing and enthusiastic creating a positive atmosphere for learning.
Preparing a strong foundation of decoding and comprehension skills for reading is a big part of our pre-k curriculum as well as social awareness, listening, and speaking skills. Exploration of reading and writing is further enhanced in Kindergarten using the Wilson
Fundations curriculum. Children are taught in groups and individually to best meet the needs of each child.
Critical thinking skills are taught and children are encouraged to think logically and make associations in math and science using both in-class activities and the Early Learning garden. Pre-K and Kindergarten students enjoy enrichment classes in Spanish, art, music, technology, library and physical education. Monthly assemblies may include dance, drama, or core values and character development. Visitors from the community help to provide additional educational experiences. Before and after-school care are available through our Extended Learning program.
The Lower School faculty and staff take seriously the role they play in encouraging and teaching young children the skills, responsibilities and strategies that will lead them to value their education and each other.
I value your input, feedback, and support during the school year. It will be critical to my leadership. The teaching and learning environment and the success of your child depend on our join collaboration. We look forward to sharing the journey with you and your family.
