Candlelight Program

Christ Place Church, 3428 Atlanta Hwy, Flowery Branch, GA 30542
Lakeview students of all ages perform a variety of musical numbers at this very special, annual event. The conclusion of the evening is the candle ceremony by the 8th grade and the lighting of candles by the senior class as they lead the audience in singing "Silent Night."

  • Students please report to your teacher upon arrival  and sit in your reserved assigned seats in the auditorium. Teachers will supervise students in their assigned areas.

Attire for the Candlelight participants:

  • All PreK3 through 5th-grade male participants: Dressy attire, which may include a blazer, a tie, or holiday sweater with dress shoes (no sneakers).
  • All PreK3 through 5th-grade female participants: “Dressy” dresses or pantsuit in any color or fabric with dress shoes (no sneakers). No spaghetti straps, sleeveless or backless tops/dresses, and no shorts/ rompers. Skirt/dress length and shoes are to be appropriate for walking up steps and standing above the audience. 
  • US Chorale and Middle School Chorus Members: Directors have provided guidance on the dress code for the evening. Please check with your child for details.
  • Middle School Student Council: For females, a dress or pantsuit. For males, this is defined as a collared shirt with optional coat and tie (no sneakers).
  • Seniors & Eighth Grade:
    • Girls are to wear “conservative attire” which may include a dress, skirt, or pants – no spaghetti straps, sleeveless or backless tops/dresses, and no shorts/ rompers. Skirt/dress length and shoes are to be appropriate for walking up steps and standing above the audience. Although not required, most senior girls opt to wear black or other dark colors.
    • Boys are to wear slacks (khakis are fine), a button-up shirt, socks, a belt, and dress shoes - NO tennis shoes. In addition, 12th-grade boys are to wear a sports jacket or suit and tie (straight or bow) which is optional for 8th-grade boys.
