Carpool, Student Parking, and Dismissal Times
The Upper School Office is open between 7:45 am and 3:45 pm.
Breakfast
Upper School students have access to the breakfast service (billed to student account). This service is offered from 7:45 to 8:15 am in the Student Center.
Daily Bus Riders
Daily bus riders will be dropped off and picked up in front of the school this year. Students must be registered through the Business Office to ride the bus.
Morning Arrival
Students should not arrive before 7:45 am as there is no adult supervision before that time. Classes begin at 8:20 am. Any student arriving after 8:20 am will be marked tardy. Tardy students report to Security Office and then to Upper School Office.
Regular Dismissal
Upper School student dismissal is at 3:25 pm. Dismissal is to one of the following:
- Carpool/walking pickup
- Assigned parking lot
- Bus
- Athletic or fine arts extracurricular activities
Students must either leave the campus or attend a formal after-school activity.
Campus Traffic and Safety
- The Lakeview Academy neighborhood speed limit is 25 mph.
- The campus speed limit is 10 mph.
- Drivers are not permitted to use cell phones during drop-off or pickup.
- Drivers are expected to obey the directions of the Lakeview faculty & staff. Please respond to their requests with kindness and courtesy.
- Pedestrians have the right of way.
- Upper school students should be dropped off in the mornings from the middle school carpool lane (left-hand lane - see illustration above) or at the back corner of Wilheit Hall (the upper school building) unless they have lower or middle school siblings. In that case, the student may be dropped off in the younger student's carpool lane. Upper school students without younger siblings should not be dropped off in the lower school carpool line (right-hand lane - see illustration above).
- Upper school students should be picked up in the afternoon from the middle school carpool lane (left-hand lane - see illustration above) or at the back corner of Wilheit Hall (the upper school building). If they have lower or middle school siblings, all should be picked up at the oldest student's pick-up time.
Regular Daily Schedule

| 8:20 am | Classes begin. Any student arriving after 8:20 am will be marked tardy. |
| 3:25 pm | US classes dismissed. |
| 3:35 pm | Bus departure – Adults on duty supervise and assist students before buses depart. |
PLEASE, do not park your car in the driveway areas used for carpools or buses. It is a safety hazard for our children to go around parked cars to find their vehicles, and it slows the safe flow of traffic for everyone.
Lakeview Academy is a private, coeducational day school for students in preschool through 12th grade, located in Gainesville, GA minutes off I-985/Hwy 365.
