Lakeview Academy’s Board of Trustees, School Administration, Athletic and Fine Arts staff, made a unified decision to move from the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) to a statewide private school organization beginning in the 2022-23 school year. Lakeview Academy made this decision due to the changing landscape of GHSA (in particular, the new attendance zone policy) and in the hopes of providing greater enrollment opportunities. The decision came after extensive discussions with GHSA, the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA), and other schools across the state. Lakeview Academy is grateful for its association with GHSA and is eager to continue developing positive relationships with local public and private schools. The new league will be a merger of current GHSA private schools and current GISA schools.
