Teacher, coach or staff member at Lakeview who has made the biggest impact on you: “Coach” Harris has impacted me as both a performer and person discovering how I’ll fit into the world. The hours I’ve spent in his office- exchanging dad jokes or pathetically attempting a New York accent- have cemented Coach Harris as one of the more influential figures of my high school career. He taught me pride and acceptance of myself as a performer and the merits of musical theater outside of the stage. I owe much of who I am to him and the other Fine Arts teachers and cannot express my gratitude enough.
What will you miss most at Lakeview Academy? What I will miss most is the sense of familiarity and comfort attending such a small school gave me. There is something reassuring about knowing where I’ll park every morning, recognizing the faces I pass, and knowing I can pop into any teacher’s office with any question. While I am excited to attend a larger university and meet new people, I will miss the comfort of seeing my friends every day and knowing everyone in my grade by name.
College you will attend in the fall: University of Georgia
College degree or area of study: Journalism
Other than college, do you have any other plans after high school? I hope I get the opportunity to travel and the chance to live in a different country for a part of my life, to experience new cultures and styles of life of which I am currently unaware.
