Lakeview Students Win Art Awards at Quinlan

The Public Art Committee for Vision 2030 awarded five awards at the Youth Art Month Celebration last Friday at the Quinlan Visual Arts Center and two art works by Lakeview students were chosen: “Bird in Paradise” by Reed Butler and “Crushed” by Esther Suen. Each student will receive $300 for the permission to reproduce the artwork in an 8-foot format to be installed in the community next year.

In addition, the students listed below placed in the 15th Annual Kiwanis student art competition at Quinlan Visual Arts Center. The exhibition will end on April 7th.
  • Bennett Hylton, 1st place among 8th grade - Woodworking
  • Emma Trip, 2nd place among 9th grade 
  • Sadie Matus, 3rd place among 11th grade
  • Jack Kennedy, 2nd place among 11th grade
