Clay Target Team Finishes 3rd at Meet
Lakeview's Clay Target team finished 3rd at the Pinetuckey Gun Club meet in Augusta and Jakob Duke also placing 3rd in overall individual scores. At the Forest City Gun Club meet in Savannah, Brody Calvert finished first among all middle school participants.
The Lakeview Clay team has had a busy two weekends with much success. At Pinetuckey Gun Club in Augusta, the team logged a 3rd place finish with Jakob Duke coming in 3rd on the leader-board in overall individual scores. The team also put ups some great scores at Forest City Gun Club in Savannah, which hosted 150 athletes from across Georgia this past weekend. Brody Calvert finished 1st overall among middle school participants. Good job Brody! Dylan Mulka had a personal best in 16 yard Trap with a 47 that put him in the top 10.
More good news, this past week at practice where Joshua Davis shot his first 25 ever in Trap. There is only a month left in the season and it's not to early to start looking for student athletes who would like to join us next year. Any rising 8th - 12th grader that is interested, please reach out to Resource Officer Newman or Mr. John Simpson. The team is coed and no previous experience is required.
