Lakeview Thespian Elected as State Thespian Officer
At the State Georgia Thespian LeadCon this past weekend in Houston County, Anderson Cheek was elected as a 2022-2023 State Thespian Officer. She will join eight other students from schools around the state who will work as arts advocates, student leaders, and theatre outreach ambassadors from February 2022-February 2023, including helping to plan the entire state conference.
In addition, Noah Caplan, current State Thespian Officer, helped lead the election process and will represent Lakeview and our troupe at this year's state thespian conference. Angela Lynden and Emilia Horton, served as student representatives who voted in the state election, and Davison Filson was also there to offer his support and positive encouragement.
We are also so proud of our All-State Theatre Performers, Ian Johnson, Sarah Kennedy and McClairin Garmon (not pictured due to illness), and Jonathan Suo, All-State Technical Crew, for representing us at the rehearsal for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies at ThesCon 2022. This elite group, selected via audition, works hard to bring students from around the state together to perform and collaborate.
