Middle School and Varsity Swim Teams Headed to State!
At the Hall County swim championships, senior Matt Levine finished third in the 50 and 100 freestyle, and eighth grader Lydia Abell finished 2nd in the 50 breaststroke and 3rd in the 50 freestyle. The varsity boys medley relay team placed fourth. Swimmers from the Middle School and varsity teams qualified for and will compete at the state tournament on January 28.
Lakeview Academy's varsity and Middle School had a successful day at the Hall County Championships on Saturday. The varsity team placed fifth out of the nine hall county teams. The boy's medley relay team brought the energy early as they finished fourth overall, just one second away from medaling in a tight race down the stretch. Individually we had Matt Levine (senior) finish 3rd overall in both the 50 and 100 freestyle.
Eighth-grader Lydia Abell finished 2nd in the 50 breaststroke and 3rd in the 50 freestyle. We also had several of our previously qualified state swimmers qualify for more events to compete at the GIAA Swimming State Championships.
