  An integral part of Lakeview’s curriculum is to prepare our students to recognize moral issues, value ethical behavior, and think critically. Our character education program, Core Essentials, is focused on helping children understand and apply universal values to their everyday lives.

• Early Bird (Morning Care)

  Early Bird morning care is offered from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

  Early Bird is supervised morning care offered from 7:30 am to 8:00 am for Lower School students only. There is no supervision of Lower School students prior to 7:30 am. There is a charge of $5 per child per week for this program. All Early Bird students will be signed in by a teacher/assistant waiting outside the Lower School and escorted to the Extended Learning Room. At 8:00 am, all Early Bird students will be sent to their homeroom, where they will be under the supervision of their classroom teacher. This is a drop-in program; no registration required.

• Extended Learning (After School Care)

  Lakeview students in preschool through 5th grade may enroll for a  fee in Extended Learning, our after-school program.

  The program operates Monday through Friday, from 2:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A registration fee is charged to your student account. Hourly costs for this service are set on an annual basis. 
  
  Lakeview’s Extended Learning Program is led by a coordinator and operated by qualified staff. The variety of daily activities planned for children participating in the program include games and outdoor play, arts and crafts, hands-on activities, and a structured homework time for Lower School students. Parents should send in a snack for their child.

• Field Trips (PreK 3-PreK 4)

  PreK 3 and PreK 4 curriculum is supplemented with special guests on campus. Our youngest students do not go off campus for field trips.

• Private Brass, Guitar, Percussion, Piano, and String Lessons

  Private music lessons, including piano, strings (violin and cello), woodwinds (flute and clarinet), brass (trumpet, trombone, and euphonium), and percussion (concert percussion and drum set) can be scheduled at Lakeview on a first come first served basis. Scheduling is done through the cooperative efforts of the parent, teacher, and the music director.
