Athletics at Lakeview Academy are considered an important component of helping fulfill the mission statement of the school. Lakeview Academy competes in the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) in the single “A” division. On the courts and fields of competition, the students who participate in athletics are making a commitment to uphold the standards set by the school. Lakeview Academy athletics are intended to provide an extension of the family and classroom setting, as athletes set goals, handle adversity and push their bodies and minds to new heights. Coaches strive to provide a positive atmosphere where the student can grow as a person and an athlete. As an athletic staff, we will continue working to make athletics an important part of the development of the student. We look forward to being involved in the development of your child.
In the event that a practice or game has to be cancelled due to inclement weather, parents of athletes will receive an email or text message notification from their coach by 2:00 PM, if at all possible. To receive this notification, parents must enable this feature. Please contact Sondra Berry at 770-531-2657 or via email for more information regarding notification setup.
