Three Lions Make All-Region Baseball Team
5/17/2023
Ricky Brown (1st Team), Logan Stanley (1st Team), and Jarrett Atwill (2nd Team) were named to the Region GIAA 4-AAA/AAAA All-Region Baseball Team. Their efforts helped the Lions make it to the state playoffs this year.

Athletes Named to All-State Soccer Team

Liam Weidner, Jay Davé, and Annie Nivens were named to the GIAA AAA All-State Soccer Team. Previously, Liam was also named Region Player of the Year, leading the Lions to an undefeated 8-0 region championship. Both the boys and girls soccer teams made the Elite 8 state playoffs this year.

Tanner Stephens was named Hall County Male Golfer of the Year at the Athlete of the Year Banquet hosted by the Gainesville Times. Tanner was chosen for his great golf season highlighted by winning the Hall County Championship Low Medalist.

Lakeview Receives Grant to Continue Successful Clay Target Program

The Lakeview Academy Clay Target Team was honored to receive a grant from the Double D Foundation for the second year in a row. This grant will partially fund Lakeview's young athletes by providing shells, target fees, and safety equipment for the 2023 Fall Season. Lakeview continues to develop a successful history in Clay Target competition with athletes winning state championships, all-state honors, and even at the international level with the USA Shooting team. With support from organizations like The Double D Foundation, Lakeview hopes to continue these successes.
