MS, JV and Varsity athletes must have both the GHSA Pre-Participation physical and GHSA Concussion Awareness forms and a Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk acknowledgment on file with athletics prior to the beginning of seasonal practices for ALL sports. In addition, JV and Varsity players are required to have the Sudden Cardiac Arrest form.
A Big Congratulations to two of our Basketball players on a great accomplishment! Junior Joelle Snyder and Senior Declan Weidner were both named First Team All-Region 6-A. Great Job to both players for leading their teams to the State Playoffs.
For the seventh year in a row, both our varsity girls and boys basketball teams have clinched a spot in the state playoffs! Both teams defeated Pinecrest Academy's teams to secure their spots. The first playoff game for the girls will be at 6pm on Tuesday, February 23rd at Mt. Paran Christian School. The boys will play their first game Wednesday, February 24th at Christian Heritage in Dalton, time TBA.
Congratulations to the Middle School Swim team on their 4th place finish at the Hall County Championships. They placed 4th out of 8 teams, competing against 150 other swimmers. This is quite a feet when you consider only the girls team competed.
Marina Pate finished 1st overall in 100 Breaststroke, 1st in 50 Breaststroke, and 2nd in the 100 IM!
Sadie Leek finished 2nd overall in 50 Freestyle and 3rd overall in 50 Butterfly.
Avery Marshall finished 5th overall in 50 Freestyle (out of 60+ swimmers).
Marina Pate, Sadie Leek, Avery Marshall and Lydia Abell finished 3rd overall in the Medley Relay and 4th overall in the Freestyle Relay.

Although our teams did not place during Lanierlands, two of our Lions were named to the All-Tournament Team: junior, Joelle Snyder, and senior, Christian Haynes. In addition, Joelle was chosen out of all who played in the tournament to receive the Sportsmanship Award. This award is voted on by the coaches from the eight participating teams for being the best team player. Congratulations, Lions!

Congratulations to junior, Joelle Snyder, who scored her 1,000th point at a game in Lumpkin County in December. Joelle plays guard and helped the Lions to the second round of the GHSA 1A Private State Championship tournament last year. In 2020, she was also named Honorable Mention All-Region Basketball Team 8A and made the The 2020 North Georgia All Star Classic Roster underclassmen (Girls).
