Playoff game vs. St. Andrew's School
The sixth-ranked Lakeview Academy boys' soccer team lost to third-ranked St. Andrew's School on Saturday in the GISA AAA quarterfinal playoff game in Savannah. Lakeview outshot St. Andrew's 17-10, but trailed at half time 0-1 when St. Andrew's scored on one of only a few shots by St. Andrew's. Freshman forward Frisco Johnson shot a ball into the back of the net in the second half attempting to tie the game, but the play was ruled offside. Lakeview had several chances to score but were unable to find the net. A shot by Lakeview hit the cross bar on a volley by Akhil Mangalat, and Frisco Johnson hit the side post on a shot from the middle, butvnone found the inside of the goal. The Lions conceded a second goal with less than five minutes left to go. The final score was 0-3 with St. Andrew's School advancing to the next round of state. Lakeview finishes the season with an overall recored of 11-5-1, 8-0 in region play.
