Accolades Abound at State ThesCon for Lakeview Thespians
Upper School thespians traveled to State Thepian Conference (ThesCon 2015) in Columbus, GA last week. It was a very successful trip with a long list of accomplishments.
Upper School thespians traveled to State Thepian Conference (ThesCon 2015) in Columbus, GA last week. It was a very successful trip with a long list of accomplishments:
They performed The Addams family twice in front of close to 4,000 people (the picture above is the theatre where they performed) and was rated one of the highest shows at conference. Standing ovations and lots of buzz about Lakeview and our students.
Four students performed in the All-State Opening Number and were featured throughout the performance. An incredible opportunity for them all - great job to Shan Suen, Trent Partin, Erin Lyles and Madison Smith
The following Students received the highest ratings you can earn in their individual events competition: Shan Suen, Sam Dubin, Rachel Cottrell and Georgia Whitehead. These students are eligible now to advance to the national competition in June!
Sam Dubin was introduced as only one of seven State Thespian Officers for the upcoming year.
In addition, all of the students participated in incredible workshops, saw award-winning shows, and met students and instructors from all over the state of Georgia and from Broadway.
