  • Lady Lion, Eliza Snyder, who was named to the 2018-19 GHSA All-State Class A-Private Girls 2nd Basketball Team

    Congratulations to Lady Lion, Eliza Snyder, who was named to the 2018-19 GHSA All-State Class A-Private Girls 2nd Team! Eliza was also named the Region 8-A Player of the Year and scored her 1,000th career high school basketball point this past season.. In addition, she was named the Athlete of the Week by both The Times and AccessWDUN for helping the Lady Lions claim the region title and go to Elite 8 at state.

  • Lakeview Senior Wins Vocal Scholarship From Kiwanis

    Congratulations to senior Lainie Ewers who won 1st Place and a $2500 scholarship singing “Le Violette” in the Charles J. Thurmond Youth Art Scholarship Awards Kiwanis Club of Gainesville and will go on to the Kiwanis state competition to compete later this spring. Our other students, John Carter Cooper (violin), Nanditha Rajini, (vocals), and Matthew Ju (vocals), represented Lakeview well.

  • LA Lion is All Star MVP & Makes H.M. All State Team

    Congratulations to senior, Blake McIntyre, who was named the MVP of the North Georgia All Star Basketball game Saturday. In addition, Blake made Honorable Mention for the 2018-19 GHSA All-State Boys Class A private Basketball Team.
     
    Congratulations also to Jackie Allen, Adam Cottrell, and Eliza Snyder who were also selected to play in the All Star Basketball games.

    Congratulations to our high school winners of the Quinlan's Youth Month Kiwanis Club of Gainesville/ Charles J. Thurmond Youth Art Scholarship Awards:
    • Max Pethel’s print “Predator” won 1st Place among 11th graders. Max’s print also won 2nd Place for the Best in the Show, winning a $1,500 college scholarship.
    • Bennett Hylton’s sculpture “Mayan Steps” won 1st Place among 9th graders.
    • Salah Haddad’s photograph “Mush” won 2nd Place among 10th graders.
    • Jack Kennedy’s pen drawing “Womb” won Honorable Mention among 12th graders.
