Academics

Lower School

Welcome to the Lakeview Academy Lower School, grades K3 through 5. I am thrilled to be a part of a school community where family members are visible and actively engaged, as well as an integral component of Lakeview Academy. Lakeview has a legacy of rigor, care, and resiliency. I am honored and privileged to lead a school where teachers and staff cultivate an environment where students achieve and believe in themselves and their school.

Lower School instruction for first through fifth grades builds on the foundations of our Early Learning. The hands-on curriculum is a captivating way in which students may learn by doing as well as learn to develop work habits and personal responsibility. Students are encouraged to explore and be inquisitive about the world around them. The Lower School also makes use of the community as an extension of the classroom offering field trips, guest speakers and providing Arts in the School programs to enhance the curriculum. In addition to our strong academics, physical education, music, drama, art, science, Spanish and technology are all a part of our curriculum.

I value your input, feedback, and support during the school year. It will be critical to my leadership. The teaching and learning environment and the success of your child depend on our join collaboration. Remember, it takes a village to raise a a child: and it takes a very special school like Lakeview to educate them. Respectful individuals, responsible leaders, and reflective achievers are our goals. I welcome your participation, support, and efforts as they are greatly valued and appreciated. I wish you a great year and I look forward to seeing you soon at Lakeview Academy.

"As an alumni and a parent, I am so pleased that my children are enjoying their experiences at Lakeview as much as I enjoyed my 13 years. It is truly rewarding as a parent to observe the eagerness in their eyes each morning as they prepare for school and the excitement in their eyes when they get home from Lakeview to share all their day's activities with us!"

Stephanie, parent of three Lower School students
