Students Place in County-wide Design Competition
Austin Chitwood (3rd-5th grade category) and Davis Dubnik (6th-8th grade category) each placed 2nd in their respective categories in the Hall County Water & Soil Conservation poster contest during the 2024-2025 school year. The ceremony took place on October 7th at Lanier Technical College.
Hall County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) offered the Georgia Association of Conservation District’s (GACD) poster contest to public, private, and homeschooled students from 3rd through 12th grade in the schools throughout the Hall County SWCD. Each year, the winning posters reflect GACD’s annual Stewardship theme and highlight the work of Conservation Districts to protect and enhance natural resources. This year’s theme, “Home is Where the Habitat is”, highlights the essential role of both natural and managed habitats in their conservation efforts.
