• Lady Lions Score 10-0 Shutout for Senior Night

  The Lakeview girls defeated Dawson County 10-0 at Lions Field on Senior night. Seniors Millie and McKenna Filson each scored twice. Seniors Sara Nivens, Virginia Cobb, Claire Morgan, Arwa Sharif and Lauren Scott each scored one, as well as sophomore Annie Nivens. Seniors Ella Grace Leek and Angela Lynden helped set up multiple goals. Senior goalkeeper Celia Wilson-Patino helped the Lakeview defense stay strong by earning their 7th shutout in the last nine games. 

   

  Lakeview has their last regular season game on Thursday at Gainesville with State Playoffs starting April 12th.

• Another Shutout for the Lady Lions

  The Lakeview girls soccer team defeated region opponent Mt Pisgah Christian School 10-0 tonight. Sarah Nivens led the attack with 4 goals. Millie Filson also scored a hat trick with 3 goals. McKenna Filson added 2 goals and Annie Nivens scored the final goal. McKenna, Millie, Annie, Ella Grace Leek, Virginia Cobb, and Lauren Scott each had assists. The defense of Scott, Cobb, Pavani Reddy, Claire Morgan, and Chloe Dierkes held Mt Pisgah to only 5 shots. Goalkeeper Celia Wilson-Patino preserved the shutout with 3 saves in goal.  

  Millie's first goal of the night set a school record for career goals, topping Carmen Wagner (2017 graduate - 111 goals scored). Millie's third goal gives her 114 for her career, which sets a new Hall County record, besting Flowery Branch's Maggie Wadsworth (2021 graduate) who had 113.

  Filson Breaks Hall County Soccer Scoring Record

  The varsity girls soccer team won 10-0 tonight and Millie Filson set two big records. With her first goal, she set the new school record for goals scored in a career. The previous record was by Carmen Wagner '17, who scored 111 total goals. Millie's third goal of the game set the girls' Hall County record, besting Maggie Wadsworth of Flowery Branch who finished her career with 113 goals. Congratulations, Millie!

• Lakeview Girls Varsity Soccer Team Has Second Straight Shutout

  The Lakeview girls defeated Mt Bethel Christian School 9-0 to improve to 2-0 in Region 6-A Private. McKenna and Millie Filson each scored a hat trick for Lakeview. Sarah Nivens scored two goals and Annie Nivens had one goal.  Sarah, Millie, Annie, McKenna, Pavani Reddy, and Lauren Scott all had assists.  The Lakeview defense recorded it's second straight shutout.

• Varsity Girls Soccer Team Wins First Region Game of Season

  The Lakeview girls stand 1-0 in region play after an 8-0 victory over the Weber School tonight. Millie Filson scored four goals to lead the Lady Lions. Sara Nivens and Annie Nivens each recorded two goals. McKenna Filson had 4 assists. Lauren Scott, Millie, and Sara also had an assist. The Lakeview defense preserved the shutout as goalkeepers Celia Wilson-Patino and Ashlyn Henderson each had two saves in goal.

  Millie Filson joins elite 100 soccer goals club for Hall County

  During a game in which the ninth ranked Single A Private Lakeview Academy girls soccer team defeated the sixth ranked AAA Lumpkin County team 5 to 3, Millie Filson joined the elite 100 goals club for Hall County! She now has 103 goals for her high school career joining only three other girls in the history of Hall County to achieve over 100 goals.

• Lakeview Wins Over Tallulah 9-4

  The Lakeview girls went on the road to Tallulah Falls today and came out victorious 9-4. McKenna Filson scored off a beautiful free kick right outside the box.  The two teams then traded goals with Lakeview taking a 5-4 lead at halftime.  Lakeview took possession of the second half as the Filson sisters, Millie and Mckenna, continued to take turns scoring.  McKenna finished with 5 goals and Millie scored 4.

• Lakeview Girls Soccer Wins Opening Season Match 9-2

  The Lakeview girls soccer team opened their season tonight with a 9-2 victory over North Hall. Millie Filson scored in the first few minutes to put Lakeview up 1-0, but North Hall's Brooklyn Green scored the equalizer a few minutes later. Lakeview turned on the pressure and went up 5-1 at halftime with two more goals from Millie and a goal each from Annie Nivens and Sara Nivens.  Lakeview kept up the pressure in the 2nd half getting a 4th goal from Millie Filson, two goals from McKenna Filson, and a goal from Ella Grace Leek.   Gracen Wood scored the 2nd goal for North Hall late in the 2nd half.  McKenna, Annie, Millie, and Lauren Scott each had assists.  Celia Wilson-Patino had 5 saves in goal for Lakeview.

  Athlete Signs to Play Soccer at UGA

  Millie Filson signed to play collegiate soccer for the University of Georgia, a NCAA Division I school. Last season, Millie Filson set a new school record by scoring 45 goals in a single season, surpassing the previous school record of 37 and was named to the All-Area Region 6-A Private Soccer 1st Team. She helped lead her team to their sixth consecutive postseason appearance at the state playoffs.

  Lakeview Soccer Standout Commits to D-1, UGA

  Senior Millie Filson has verbally committed to play next year for the University of Georgia Women’s Soccer team. Last year, she was a Preseason All-State selection for single A private schools, All Region 1st Team, as well as a nominee for Georgia High School Player of the year! Millie was also selected to the Georgia High School Soccer All Star Team for her junior season.
