Laptop/Tablet Program

Lakeview classrooms in grades PreK3 through 2nd use iPads in a shared capacity. The use of iPads is targeted to specifically enhance and extend the teaching in the classroom. Students start using a laptop in kindergarten during their dedicated technology class.

Lakeview Academy’s one-to-one laptop program is for students in 3rd through 12th grade where students are assigned Lenovo touchscreen laptops in the same way that they are issued textbooks allowing him/her to use the computer like a traditional laptop or as a tablet with stylus. These devices are chosen due to their balance of durability, ease-of-use, processing power, weight, and reliability. Students in grades 3rd-8th are charged a technology fee to cover the use of their laptop. Upper School students choose between leasing or purchasing their laptop device. Costs and fees include the use of the laptop itself, warranty & damage protection, and software & required licenses.

Help Desk

To support technology in the learning environment, Lakeview employs a Technology Help Desk before, during, and after school. If a problem cannot be solved or repaired quickly, a loaner pool of computers is maintained and available to get students back to class quickly. All laptops are maintained onsite including warranty work for any repairs.
