Learning Support

To assist students at all grade levels develop strategies to become successful and independent learners with positive self-advocacy skills.
The Learning Support Program (LSP) is a referral program. Referral is made by a staff member or the request of a parent to discuss educational goals. Parents may contact division directors or learning support teachers for more information.

It is important to note that the program is designed to be a “fluid” program as the students may enter the program as they need assistance and exit the program as they become successful. Grades are not assigned by the staff to students.

Time management, study skills using classroom assignments, learning strategies, and preparation for assessments are some of the objectives of learning support. Services provided by the learning support teachers in each division will reflect the curricular requirements in that division.
