Lakeview Thespians Are "Superior" at State Thespian Conference

Lakeview Academy thespians, along with 6,000 other conference attendees, attended the State Thespian Conference in Columbus, Georgia. Leyla Ozcelik was one of only 10 out of 157 entries chosen to perform her Dance Thespy for the convention in the Closing Showcase. Anderson Cheek helped run the conference as a State Thespian Officer. In addition, several students competed and participated in college auditions and Lakeview submitted seven performances for consideration for the International Thespian Excellence Awards (Thespys), and ALL seven were given an overall superior rating. McClairin Garmon, Caroline Gottsman, Ian Johnson, and Leyla Ozcelik received high scores (superior) in the solo and solo dance Thespy awards; and the group numbers with Sarah Kennedy, Anderson Cheek, Valor Lekas, Abby McMahan, and Emilia Horton, with her Costume Construction Technical Thespy, represented the school's troupe well.
