Describe a meaningful experience you had while at Lakeview. Going to Elite 8 and seeing a lot of people cheer was the best experience.
How has Lakeview prepared you for your future? Lakeview gave me the best education and got me ready for college. Taking leadership, personal finance, and FCA helped me become a better leader and an individual.
What is your biggest academic accomplishment and why? Doing great on my SAT scores and pushing myself through freshman year all the way up to my senior year.
Teacher, coach or staff member at Lakeview who has made the biggest impact on you: Coach Gruhn was more like a best friend to me. Joking around every day and arguing every day just made me smile every day.
Coach Carrick also pushed me to be a better person and leader. His quotes that we read every day related to everyday life opened my eyes to a lot of things.
What will you miss most at Lakeview Academy? Seeing the teachers and kids smiling and cheering at pep rallies and basketball games.
Did you participate in anything outside of Lakeview? I participated in travel basketball and it helped me become more of a leader and a basketball player at heart.
College you will attend in the fall: Winston-Salem State University
College degree or area of study: Rehabilitation and Human Services
Other than college, do you have any other plans after high school? I plan on becoming a physical therapist and a fitness trainer. If that works out the way I plan, I will take my mom and sister out and travel whenever we can.
