As you close the high school chapter of life, you will look back on those memories as some of your best years forming life-long friendships, participating in award-winning plays, and just enjoying time with family and friends. The next chapter is just as exciting and we can’t wait to watch you expand your knowledge in Bio Engineering. We will definitely miss watching your plays/productions in high school. Matthew Matthew, We are so proud to have you as our Grandson. We remember when you were just a little boy wanting so much to ride the Go-Karts by yourself, but you were not old enough plus had to be a certain height. We knew the owner and he said let him go we'll put a cushion behind him so you could reach the pedals and there you went handling it like a Champ like you have everything else in your life. So proud you chose to stay in the good old South to attend college (UGA). Your Ancestors whom some you never knew fought in every war from REVOLUTIONARY WAR to present would also be so proud. Love you Oompa and Ooma

Dear Matthew, We are so very happy for you! It's a great day that your hard work and investment has made you a well rounded young man. This is the springtime of your life. So enjoy it and remember todays mountains make tomorrow's joy ever so sweeter and greater. We see in you the wonderful and overflowing joy from your mom and dad. We have this advice for you, always let the Lord grow in your heart and think of Him and pray and give thanks. He's always looking for a way to bless you, so keep your heart open and listen. Read His word and He will show you the way to go. Have a great and well fulfilled life and when you grow old may your family enjoy listening and sharing your great stories that are yet to begin. We know that there will be many for you to share.

Matthew, I can't even put into words what it means to me that God entrusted me with such a wonderful son! I remember when you were young and asked me on the way to school if I thought that you would ever be able to see enough to play a video game. I held back the tears until after I dropped you off at Lakeview then bawled all the way home. Years later, I remember you playing a video game with your brother and asking him where you were on the screen and Christopher replying, "You have been dead for 20 minutes now but you have been having fun and that is the whole point of playing video games." But look at you now! You are even driving with biopics!!! I am amazed how you have handled all the extra challenges you have had! On top of your studies, sports, church, theater, etc., you have had to have surgeries, eye therapies and so much more but you have handled it with such grace, composure and positivity!!! You have taught me so much and made me a better mom! I used to whisper to you every night when you were young that if everyone in the world could have a child like you then the world would know so much more joy! That was true back then, and today and every day this remains true!!! Love you, my precious son!!! Always, Your PROUD mom
