Describe a meaningful experience you had while at Lakeview.
Homecoming week was always a meaningful experience, especially senior year because of all the funny costumes and winning the spirit stick will be memories I hold onto forever.

How has Lakeview prepared you for your future? The rigorous class work along with sports and clubs has taught me time management.

What is your biggest academic accomplishment and why?
My biggest academic accomplishment would be making the Head of School List every year. It showed me that all of those stressful nights and loads of homework along with hard work paid off.

Teacher, coach or staff member at Lakeview who has made the biggest impact to you:
Coach Gruhn really made a lasting impact on my career as a student. I have been in weight training with him since freshmen year and he has always found ways to make everyone feel like their small accomplishments truly mean something. When I had him for leadership training, he taught me ways to live a happier life. He is an amazing mentor that taught me lessons on humility, generosity, and kindness that will last a lifetime.

Mrs. Marcero also made a huge impact to my career as a student because she made me feel like there were no dumb questions, and she helped more than I can put into words throughout the entire college process.

What will you miss most at Lakeview Academy?
I will miss the small atmosphere and feeling close enough with all of my peers to have conversations and laugh with them all.

Did you participate in anything outside of Lakeview?
I’ve played travel softball since I was 9 and it helped me get out of my comfort zone, want to work harder than everyone around me, allowed me to make friends from all over the state, and allowed me to travel all over the country.

College you will attend in the fall: Mercer University

College degree or area of study: Public health on a Pre-Physician Assistant track

Other than college, do you have any other plans after high school?
After high school I would like to just spend as much time with my family and friends as possible before going off to college. So much time has been taken away from us, so I hope to make that time up in the summer and make some great memories!

You are a wonderful human being except that you need to work on your appreciation for good jokes. Hopefully in college you can improve in this area :) Best wishes Coach Gruhn

Thanks for supporting all the athletic teams for so many years. I admired the way you accepted being out for the basketball season with your foot injury and still enthusiastically rooted on the bench for your teammates. Keep up the positive attitude and good luck at Mercer.
