What is your biggest academic accomplishment and why?
My biggest academic accomplishment was easily my admission into the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program. This is such a big deal to me because I am the first student from lakeview to enter the program’s engineering department. I was also asked to compete against the best engineering students in Georgia when I had no such experience with the field. I spent hours each night for four months building and learning a great deal about electrical engineering and then building projects from my newly found knowledge. I can’t believe it payed off.

Teacher, coach or staff member at Lakeview who has made the biggest impact on you:
Easily Mr. Lovell. He made me welcome to the school’s robotics team, where most of my friends came from. He was also the teacher that believed in me enough to endorse me for the Governor’s Honors Program. That made Mikhail’s influence in my life huge because that program completely changed my life and the course of my education.

Did you participate in anything outside of Lakeview?
Sprint Kayaking. It took me into competitions all over the United States, and even outside of it. It was an experience almost no one will ever have. I was even the fastest sprinter in my age group in the entire United States one time.

College you will attend in the fall: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

College degree or area of study: Aerospace Engineering

Other than college, do you have any other plans after high school?
Well, I have always liked to put things in the sky, so I am probably going to keep that up. I want to end up as a rocket scientist or help design a new plane. I just like to make things fly.
