MS Swim Team Makes Splash at First Meet
Lakeview's middle school swim team had a great first meet of the season placing 4th out of 13 teams and missing 3rd by only 1.5 points. In addition, Sadie Leek won the 50 Freestyle and 50 Butterfly events, the Lion's Medley Relay team of Sadie Leek, Jalyn Purdy, Emma Gonzalez and Lydia Abell placed placed 2nd, and Jalyn Purdy placed 3rd in the 50 Breaststroke. - Sadie Leek WON the 50 Freestyle out of 75 swimmers!
- Sadie Leek WON the 50 Butterfly event!
- Medley Relay Team of Sadie Leek, Jalyn Purdy, Emma Gonzalez and Lydia Abell placed 2nd out of 15 teams.
- Jalyn Purdy placed 3rd overall in the 50 Breaststroke out of 32 swimmers. There was a tie for 1st place and she missed out by .4 of a second! Lydia Abell placed 11th in this event.
- Emma Gonzalez finished 7th in the 50 Back out of 48 swimmers and Amelia Corbin was 13th.
- Jalyn Purdy placed 7th overall in 50 Freestyle out of 75 swimmers, Lydia Abell placed 12th, Amanda Hartig placed 17th, and Emma Gonzalez placed 19th.
