Millie Filson joins elite 100 soccer goals club for Hall County
During a game in which the ninth ranked Single A Private Lakeview Academy girls soccer team defeated the sixth ranked AAA Lumpkin County team 5 to 3, Millie Filson joined the elite 100 goals club for Hall County! She now has 103 goals for her high school career joining only three other girls in the history of Hall County to achieve over 100 goals.
The Lakeview girls soccer team, ranked #9 in Single A Private, defeated the #6 AAA ranked Lumpkin County 5-3. Lakeview jumped out to a quick lead in the first half and led 4-1 at halftime. Lumpkin scored two back-to-back goals halfway though the second half to get within a goal, but Millie Filson scored her 4th goal of the night with about 5 minutes to play to give Lakeview some breathing room. McKenna Filson also scored for Lakeview and had two assists. Ella Grace Leek and Pavani Reddy each had an assist. The defense was led by Virginia Cobb, Claire Morgan, and goalkeeper Celia Wilson-Patino who had several saves for Lakeview.
Millie Filson now has 103 goals for her high school career, joining the 100 goal club with Gabi Lepeltier (Johnson 1999), Carmen Wagner (Lakeview 2017), and Maggie Wadsworth (Flowery Branch 2022) out of Hall County.
