Lakeview Academy’s Elizabeth Davis was honored by the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) with the 2022 Lower School Teacher of the Year award at a recent state-wide awards ceremony. Davis was nominated by Lakeview Academy’s Lower School Director Mary Steensma and selected from 160 GISA-school nominees. The second-grade teacher said, “Being named the Georgia Independent School Teacher of the Year is the most incredible honor. It is such a privilege to be a part of the Lakeview Academy family, and I am so thankful that I work with such an incredible team of people who put the needs of our students first.
