Junior Competes on National Stage
Junior Jackson Newton competed in the National Speech and Debate Tournament in June in Phoenix, Arizona. Representing Lakeview, he presented a 10-minute prepared speech on "Monopolies- Then and Now."
Each summer, more than 6,000 middle and high school students attend the largest academic competition in the world to debate current events, voice their views, and share their stories.
